Katie Johnston started working at Brandon Animal Clinic at the end of August 2011. After studying Agriculture at the University of Manitoba, she moved to Brandon where she started volunteering at the Brandon Humane Society- later taking on a part time position there. During her time spent at the shelter, Katie fell in love with a little Red Heeler named Scout, and after his short stay at Humane Society, she adopted him. Scout fit right in with Katie’s other dog, an Australian Shepherd named Tucker. While working at the Humane Society Katie came to realize that she had a strong passion for working with animals which led her to the Brandon Animal Clinic. When not at work, Katie likes to take a break from the city life and take Tucker and Scout back home to Killarney where she grew up.
